Azad Parikh is a Grade 12 student at Sevenoaks, where he indulges his varied interests in sustainability, geography and economics. He is particularly intrigued by the intersection between economics and the environmental sciences, and has been following developments in the sustainable entrepreneurship landscape closely.
Azad’s ideation of The School of Conservation stems from his intricate involvement in scuba diving. Having completed about 46 dives into the ocean at locations such as Maldives, France, and Malta, he has successfully engaged with the ecological consequences of climate change by helping out in coral reef conservation. Azad has successfully harvested healthy corals and re-planted them in areas facing reef shortages. He aims to expand his commitment to the environment through pragmatic action and community participation.
